I was at the Town Hall. I was speechless at the fever pitch with which speakers approached the panel. At one point, yelling at the panel to “stop talking” (they were answering questions!)
Publish the video and let them show their neighbors who they are. It was a dark display by an ugly crowd. Speaks volumes now that I that Alcorn arranged this.
Thanks so much for your comment, Lynne. Yes, the level of anger and disrespect at that Town Hall was shocking. The library videoed it, so I’m hoping they make it available to the public. Diana and I did a follow-up interview a few days ago, once again answering questions, and trying to reassure the people who are afraid. Of course, Alcorn continues to push his agenda of increasing law enforcement. He stated at Monday’s Council meeting that crime in Brookings was trending up, and we were rapidly approaching a situation that’s out of control. What on earth is he talking about?????
