These events occur regularly on a weekly or monthly basis, or are available throughout a longer period.
Throughout October and November:
- Chetco Pelican Players Haunted House: “The Last Exit”: Taking place at the old Rite Aid location (next to McKay’s) now through November 1 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Admission is $15 per person, serving as a fundraiser for the Chetco Playhouse.
- Chetco Community Public Library – “Living History in Brookings Harbor”: Local oral history project seeking storytellers. Anyone who has ever called Brookings Harbor home, past or present, is invited to sign up to interview by calling 541-469-7738 or online.
- Port Orford Senior & Activity Center Medical Equipment Loan: Surplus of medical equipment available to loan to those in need (wheelchairs, walkers, toilet/shower seats) at 1536 Jackson St., Port Orford, Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM (or call 509-969-5171).
- International Games Month: Celebrated all throughout November at Chetco Community Public Library with events, activities, take-home board game kits, and tournaments.

- Chetco Community Public Library Qi Gong for Health & Vitality: Free class with licensed instructor Linnie in the Forest Room at 5:30 PM. All are welcome; donations appreciated.
- Cascadia Pickleball Zone Pickleball Yoga: Yoga class held at 16185 Hwy. 101 S. at 11:00 AM.
- Brookings Harbor Boy Scouts of America: Troop 32 and Troop 4032 meet at Scout Hall (414 Azalea Park Road, Brookings) from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM (except holidays). Open to youth from 5th grade to age 17, as well as adult volunteers (21+, background check and Youth Protection Training required). - Chetco Community Public Library Storytime: Weekly Storytime in the Children’s Section featuring picture books, songs, and dance at 10:30 AM, followed by a simple craft and stay-and-play. Designed for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers with accompanying adults.
- Coastline Dance: Classes at Del Norte Recreation Gym (1009 H St., Crescent City). Schedule: Absolute Beginner from 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM, Beginner from 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM, and Intermediate from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM ($2 donation; contact Jean at 541-251-8998).
- Community Kitchen: Serves lunch at St. Timothy’s from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
- Cascadia Pickleball Zone Pickleball Yoga: Class held at 5:30 PM.

- Chetco Community Public Library Afterschool Wednesday Crafternoons: Drop-in art activities with the Creation Station cart and free snacks for school-aged kids and families in the Children’s Section from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM.
- KCIW Soapbox Series: Recording studio open to anyone wanting to record a two-minute airtime segment from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (no cussing, slandering, or advertising). Located in the basement of the Black Trumpet Bistro / Wicked Pig building.
- Thursdays:
- Rowdy Creek String Band Open Rehearsal: Acoustic string instrument players rehearsal in the Forest Room at Chetco Community Public Library from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Music roots in Old Time, Celtic, Bluegrass, and Eastern European music; players and listeners welcome.
- Coastline Dance: Classes at Del Norte Recreation Gym (1009 H St., Crescent City). Absolute Beginner from 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM, Beginner from 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM, and Intermediate from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM ($2 donation).

- Curry County OSU Master Gardener Extension Plant Clinic: Free gardening advice at the Chetco Community Public Library Main Lobby from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on the 3rd Monday of the month (final clinic of the season takes place October 26). Call 541-247-6672 ext. 7.
- Coastal Home Health & Hospice Grief Support Groups: Meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 585 5th St., Brookings at 3:00 PM. Free and open to the general public; walk-ins welcome (541-469-0405).
- Curry Public Library “Memory Café Curry”: Informal gathering for older adults living with memory loss and their care partners. Meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Curry Public Library (94341 3rd St., Gold Beach). - Chetco Community Public Library Fall Poetry Circle: Verse reading and open discussion in the River Room for poetry lovers of all ages with tea and snacks from 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM.
- Old Agness Store Live Music: Troy & Vince perform live starting at 5:00 PM.
- Pistol River Concert Association Presents The Horsenecks: Live concert featuring The Horsenecks (Gabrielle Macrae and Barry Southern) at Pistol River Friendship Hall (24252 Carpenterville Rd.).
