  • Throughout April:
    • Chetco Library National Poetry Month Scavenger Hunt: Follow poetry-themed clues through the stacks of the library to solve a puzzle and unlock a special prize. Best enjoyed by adults and kids ages 10 and older.
    • Chetco Library Beyond 250 Oral History Project: Seeking storytellers for a local oral history project all spring long. Open to anyone who has called Brookings-Harbor home.

  • Mondays:
    • Chetco Library Qi Gong for Health & Vitality: A free class with licensed instructor Linnie at 5:30 PM.
    • Brookings Harbor Boy Scouts of America “Scouting For New Troop Members”: Troop 32 and Troop 4032 meet at Scout Hall (414 Azalea Park Road) from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Seeking new Scouts and adult volunteers.
    • Cascadia Pickleball Zone An Hour of Pickleball Yoga: Meets at 11:00 AM.
    • Community Kitchen serves lunch at St. Timothy’s from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
  • Tuesdays:
    • Chetco Library Storytime: Stories, songs, and games for young children at 10:30 AM.
    • Coastline Dance: Meets at Del Norte Recreation Gym (1009 H Street) for absolute beginner class at 10:30 AM, beginner at 11:15 AM, and intermediate at Noon.
    • Community Kitchen serves lunch at St. Timothy’s from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
    • Coastal Home Health & Hospice Grief Support Groups: Meets on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 3:00 PM at 585 5th St. Brookings.
    • Chetco Library Tween Club: Youth ages 10-13 hang out and explore new interests and activities at 3:30 PM.
    • The Whimsical Griffin Game Night: Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and board games from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
  • Wednesdays:
    • Chetco Library Qi Gong for Health & Vitality: Free class at 9:30 AM.
    • Curry Public Library “Memory Cafe Curry”: An informal social gathering for older adults living with memory loss and their care partners. Meets the 3rd Wednesday monthly from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM.
    • Community Kitchen serves lunch at Star of the Sea Catholic Church from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.
    • Brookings Recorder Ensemble: Meets at the Chetco Activity Center from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM to explore and enjoy playing music for the recorder.
    • Chetco Library Afterschool Program: Drop-in activities for school-aged kids from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM.
    • KCIW KCIW Soapbox Series: The studio is open from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM for the public to record a two-minute message.
    • Legends Arcade Trading Card Game Night: Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon & More. Occurs the 1st Wednesday of the month from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

    • Chetco Library Rowdy Creek String Band: Open rehearsal for acoustic string instrument players from 10:00 AM – Noon.

    • Queers & Allies Brookings Get Together: Hosted by Southern Oregon Coast Pride for ages 9-19 on the 3rd Saturdays monthly from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Chetco Library Forest Room.
    • Cascadia Pickleball Zone An Hour of Pickleball Yoga: Check schedule for times.
  • Sundays:
    • Community Kitchen serves dinner at St. Timothy’s from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
  • Ongoing/Other:
    • Meals On Wheels Volunteers Needed!: Delivering hot meals to homebound seniors via the Chetco Activity Center. Three routes daily.
    • American Red Cross Curry County Blood Drives: The need for blood is constant. Call 1-800-RED CROSS to make an appointment.
