In this episode of Wild Rivers Film Radio, host Sue Wright treats listeners to a lively conversation with director, cinematographer, and actor Rob Douthat. Rob Douthat first visited Brookings in 2020 to direct the local feature film A Small Town Nutcracker Story, which went on to win an award for Best Ensemble Cast at the Orlando Film Festival.
This summer, Rob returned to Brookings to assist as an instructor at the Wild Rivers Film Festival’s first ever Youth Filmmaking Workshop. In this interview, Rob discusses his personal journey in filmmaking, imparts some wisdom for aspiring performers and filmmakers, and talks about his personal passion for his latest film, Whiskey Floats, which will screen at the Festival this August.
