In this first episode of our new series Interfaith Forum, Father Bernie Lindley of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church sits down with Scott Clapson to talk about the multitude of ministries St. Timothy’s provides to our community. Father Bernie describes his own journey to become an ordained priest and his experience growing up as an acolyte at St. Timothy’s during his childhood.

St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church hosts both the Tuesday and Saturday Brookings-Harbor Community Kitchens and the Sunday Sack Lunches. To serve the homeless in our community, St. Timothy’s provides a shower facility, personal hygiene supplies, and clean used clothing and blankets, plus they sponsor a laundry ministry one a week at Ye Old Wash House in Harbor. They have a Community Gardenshare and provide space for numerous recovery groups to meet, as well as an English as a second language class. St. Timothy’s has also become a leader in emergency preparedness in the event of a natural disaster.

Thank you Father Bernie and everyone at St. Timothy’s for your compassion and care for our community.
