Why does it so often take a tragedy to start the process of change? This week Our Community host Candice Michel explores that question with Brookings CORE Response Executive Director Diana Cooper, in the wake of 62 yr old Dana Neville’s death from exposure in Gold Beach last week. Her completely preventable death has been a catalyst for organizations and city governments in Curry County to establish long-needed emergency warming centers, as the snow, hail, and freezing temperatures continue.
