In this edition of Coastal Classical Music, host George Cady focuses on the Brookings-Harbor Friends of Music concert of March 6, 2016, to be given by the award-winning Morgenstern Trio. The concert will include works by Franz Josef Haydn and Frank Bridge, as well as the towering Piano Trio in A minor by Maurice Ravel. This program features extensive excerpts from the Ravel piece, as recorded by the Morgenstern Trio.
These three very accomplished musicians are coming to Brookings from Germany via the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, and they are scheduled to play at New York’s Lincoln Center.
We are privileged to have the opportunity to hear them perform these beautiful works as part of the Friends of Music concert series.
