SHIBAIn this episode of Community Organizer, Vicky McGuinness and Scott Clapson talk about the Senior Health Benefits Assistance Program (SHIBA) and Medicare Open Enrollment. Medicare can be a confusing program, and figuring out your benefits can be a challenge. You don’t have to do it alone. SHIBA offers free volunteer help to navigate and understand Medicare Open Enrollment.

SHIBA has an office in Gold Beach, and Vicky McGuinness and their volunteers take appointments in Brookings twice a month at the Chetco Activity Center. Appointments can be made by calling 541-247-3280. There is help available for you. The State of Oregon SHIBA office can be reached at 800-722-4134 or use their on-line contact form at http://goo.gl/1Sn7gR.
