A group of concerned citizens wants to know what’s going on behind closed doors at Coos-Curry Electric Coop regarding Beacon Broadband, a high-speed fiberoptic broadband internet service started by CCEC. KCIW News reports on the citizen group’s first public meeting, held on September 10, 2022, in Brookings.
Additional public meetings are planned on October 15 at the Gold Beach Library and November 19 at the Port Orford Library. The citizen’s group can be contacted via email at transparencyanddemocracy@gmail.com.
