In this ongoing series of Community Conversations, host Connie Hunter talks with Friends of Curry Health District Political Action Committee (PAC) and Curry Health District (CHD) board members Laurie Van Zante and Curry Health Foundation board member Dale Thomas about the proposed CHD expansion under ballot initiatives 8-83 (North County) and 8-84 (South County).

Laurie and Dale describe how the CHD works to promote fiscal responsibility, catalyze economic benefits, and save lives. As a nonprofit organization, funds earned by the Health District are invested back into healthcare rather than into shareholder profits.
