Host Scott Clapson is back with another episode of Give Me Shelter, the show with the latest news from Curry County Habitat for Humanity. In this episode Scott meets with Laura Ahrens, the Affiliate Support Manager for Habitat for Humanity of Oregon, where the two discuss the latest successes and upcoming goals of the organization, both locally and around the state.

Laura comes from a rich background in nonprofit service and community development, and shares some tips with Scott on how Curry County Habitat for Humanity can increase its visibility in the community, drum up volunteer support, and partner with other local affiliates in the region. No matter a person’s location, background, or personal beliefs, Habitat for Humanity’s goal is to give everyone a chance at homeownership, and to promote secure housing as a cornerstone of human wellness.
