Doc and Jacques talk with Ron Schnearson and Brookings City Manager Tim Rundel about the Brookings Public Art Collaborative (BPAC), a volunteer initiative to enhance Brookings’ community identity through public art. They highlight their inaugural project, a sculpture at the Brookings Botanical Garden, themed “Gateway to the Pacific Northwest.” The sculpture will be visible approaching Brookings from the 101 bridge, with artist selection emphasizing quality and experience. BPAC also plans future sculptures, murals, and utility box wraps.
