Discussion at Brookings Café is a potpourri of topics around a table where anybody can join in the discussion. This show represents a place where the community of Brookings and the surrounding areas can discuss what concerns us as coastal residents.
There’s an old saying that says it is not a good idea to discuss either religion or politics in polite company. Religion is a personal subject and it can be the center of major conflict. Here we managed to maintain polite company, but the discussion goes deep into what it means to have a belief system. What does it mean to believe in something? Is it important? We won’t make any judgments as to what is the right religion, but here’s what a few people have to say on the subject.
