Curry Café hosts Ray Gary and Rick McNamer welcome Dan Schmidt, “editor-in-chief” of the Del Norte Triplicate, along with KCIW radio host and Triplicate columnist Jacques Kepner. After discussing the role of community media, Schmidt outlines the Triplicate’s 150-year legacy, his efforts to save it from closure, and his plan to step down and pass ownership to new leaders. The discussion highlights the essential role local newspapers and citizen contributors play in keeping communities connected and informed.

We encourage anyone with differing views to participate in future Curry Café discussions. If you would like to join the panel, email contact@kciw.org or call 541-661-4098.
