Bruin Radio is a weekly student-led and student-written news show produced by Brookings-Harbor High School staff, and supported by Curry Coast Community Radio.

We get to talk to Val Cowan, who has worked at the Brookings-Harbor High School in a variety of positions including in the BHHS Counseling Office, leading the Drama Club, and currently an employee of Southwest Oregon Community College as part of the TRiO Program. Val is a playwright and director, and one of her plays, Athenry, is currently in theaters at the time of this episode. We also interview Alex Merritt about his upcoming departure from Brookings-Harbor High School, and we talk about the attributes we hope to see in his potential replacement.

If you’re a student or staff member and you’d like to get involved, or if you’re a community member with input or advice for Bruin Radio, please reach out to us! Email Dane Tippman or Alex Merritt of the Brookings-Harbor High School. We would be thrilled to hear from you!
