This is the fifth episode of our series, Coastal Classical Music, the voice of the Brookings-Harbor Friends of Music. Coastal Classic Music features the performers and music of upcoming Friends of Music Concerts.
In this edition, host George Cady focuses on the upcoming concert of April 3, 2016, to be given by up-and-coming opera stars Anton Belov and Hannah Penn. The varied program will take us from Mozart to Broadway, with music by Rachmaninoff, Britten, and de Falla, and selections from Kismet, Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific, Showboat, and Man of La Mancha.
Both artists currently reside in the Portland area and have performed at prestigious venues across the United States..
We look forward to hearing them in Brookings in a concert that should please a variety of musical tastes.
