1. Information We Collect
Technical Logs: To deliver the audio stream, our infrastructure (powered by GoodBarber) automatically logs your IP address, device model, and operating system version.
Usage Stats: We collect anonymous, aggregated data (such as total listener counts and duration) to improve our programming and for community grant reporting. We do not collect your name, email, or precise GPS location automatically.
No Microphone Access: Despite being a radio app, we do not access your device’s microphone.
2. Push Notifications
If you choose to enable notifications, the app will send station-related alerts (such as broadcast updates or emergency information). You can opt-out of these at any time in your device’s system settings.
3. External Communication
The app does not host its own contact forms or accounts. If you choose to contact the station via the “Contact” links, the app will open your device’s default email or phone app. Any information you share in that communication is handled by KCIW’s standard privacy practices, not the app’s internal code.
4. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell or trade any user data to third parties. Technical data is shared only with our infrastructure provider (GoodBarber) solely for the purpose of operating the app.
