In this episode of Curry Café, hosts Ray Gary and Michael Gorse talk with Jackie Antunes, executive director of Wally’s House, a child advocacy center in Curry County. Jackie details the center’s comprehensive services for children who have experienced trauma, including forensic interviews, advocacy, trauma-focused therapy, medical exams, and prevention education for adults. The discussion highlights the importance of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) training for professionals, Oregon’s legal requirements for child abuse investigations, and the ongoing expansion of Wally’s House to better serve families.

We encourage anyone with differing views to participate in future Curry Café discussions. If you would like to join the panel, email contact@kciw.org or call 541-661-4098.
