Doc & Jacques talk with Yana Lobb, a Bulgarian-born singer-songwriter, who shares her journey from immigrating to the US with just one suitcase to establishing herself as a musician. Originally skilled in fashion design and sewing, Yana joined her first band at 15. Influenced by her family’s eclectic musical tastes but intent on developing her own style, she began writing songs, eventually creating over 50 solo pieces and collaborating on many more with her band, Rogue Strings. She performs four original songs, including Stupid Boy, her first song about an old boyfriend; Let Me Go Home, a song about her longing for her home country; Manhunting Season, a humorous and suggestive song; and If I Stay, a song about loneliness and the desire to travel the world.
