These events occur regularly on a weekly or monthly basis.
Mondays
- 11:00 AM: An Hour of Pickleball Yoga is held at Cascadia Pickleball Zone, located at 16185 Hwy. 101 S.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves lunch at St. Timothy’s.
- 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Monday Night Jam is held at World Headquarters 101, welcoming musicians and vocalists for multi-genre music with open sign-up (21+ only).
- 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Brookings Harbor Boy Scouts of America (Troop 32 and Troop 4032) meet at Scout Hall (414 Azalea Park Road, Brookings, OR). New Scouts (5th Grade to age 17) and adult volunteers (21+, requiring background check and Youth Protection Training) are invited to attend. This meeting does not occur on holidays.
Tuesdays
- 10:30 AM: Storytime for young children, featuring stories, songs, and games, is held at Chetco Library.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves lunch at St. Timothy’s.
- 3:00 PM: Coastal Home Health & Hospice Grief Support Groups meet at 585 5th St. Brookings. This is a free event open to the general public, occurring on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Walk-ins are welcome. (Upcoming dates include: Tuesday, December 16, 2025,).
- 3:30 PM: Tween Club is held at Chetco Library for youth ages 10-13 to explore new interests and activities every week.
- 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Cisco plays music at World Headquarters 101.
- 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Game Night is held at The Whimsical Griffin (615 Chetco Ave. By Redwood Theater), featuring Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and board games.
Wednesdays
- 10:15 AM: An Hour of Pickleball Yoga is held at Cascadia Pickleball Zone.
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Memory Café Curry meets at Curry Public Library in Gold Beach. This informal social gathering is for older adults living with memory loss and their care partners. Staffed by qualified social service providers, library staff, and volunteers. (Upcoming date: Wednesday, December 17, 2025).
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves lunch at Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
- 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: The Brookings Recorder Ensemble meets at the Chetco Activity Center. New members should bring a recorder and a music stand; music will be provided.
- 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Afterschool Program is held at Chetco Library, where school-aged kids are welcome for a free snack, homework help, or to craft using supplies from the Maker cart.
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: KCIW Soapbox Series recording is open at the studio. Folks can come in and record a two-minute message (no cussing, slandering, or advertising).
- 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Trading Card Game Night is held at Legends Arcade every First Wednesday of the month, featuring Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-O, Pokemon, and more for trading or battling with local players.
Thursdays
- 10:00 AM – Noon: Rowdy Creek String Band holds an open rehearsal for acoustic string instrument players. Non-players are welcome to drop in and listen.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves lunch at the Presbyterian Church.
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Checkmate Corner, a weekly chess club for players of all ages and skill levels, is held at the library. Extra game boards are available.
- 5:30 PM: Easy Flow Yoga, a free class, is offered. Participants should be able to comfortably get up and down from the floor.
- 6:15 PM: An Hour of Pickleball Yoga is held at Cascadia Pickleball Zone.
Fridays
- 10:15 AM: An Hour of Pickleball Yoga is held at Cascadia Pickleball Zone.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves lunch at the Lutheran Church.
- 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Game Night is held at The Whimsical Griffin, featuring Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and board games.
Saturdays
- 9:00 AM: An Hour of Pickleball Yoga is held at Cascadia Pickleball Zone.
- 10:30 AM: Saturday Storytime, featuring stories, songs, and games for young children, is held at the library.
- 1:00 PM: Saturday Shuffle: Pokémon, Magic, and more is held. Players can bring their favorite card or board games from their collections or browse the library’s games.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves lunch on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays at St. Timothy’s, and on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays at the Church of the Nazarene. (Upcoming 4th Saturday: Saturday, December 27, 2025).
- 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Teens Teach Tech is offered at the Library Annex on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. Trained Cyber-Senior Technology Mentors (young people) help older adults with devices like smart phones, iPads, or computers. This free service is in partnership with Harmony & Me Music. (Upcoming 4th Saturday: Saturday, December 27, 2025).
Sundays
- 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Community Kitchen serves dinner at St. Timothy’s.
Throughout December
- 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Running through December 28): Nature’s Coastal Holiday is running at Azalea Park in Brookings, OR, featuring over 3 million sparkling lights, hot cocoa, cookies, and festive photo opportunities. Admission is $4 for adults; kids 12 and under are free.
- Santa Schedule: Santa is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Wednesday nights, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

- 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Grinch “Movie” Night at Seaview Senior Living. Features the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas, popcorn, and cold refreshments.
- 4:00 PM: Comic Quest Book Club meeting. This comics and illustrated-book club for tweens and young teens will be reading and discussing Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland.
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Santa is scheduled at Nature’s Coastal Holiday in Azalea Park.

- 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Red Cross Blood Drive at Gold Beach High School in the new gym. Donors receive a $15 Amazon Gift Card.
- 5:30 PM: Pub Grub Book Club: This casual book club for adult fans of graphic novels meets offsite at Misty Mountain Brewing in downtown Brookings. They will read and discuss Eight Billion Genies, by Charles Soule. Registration is required, and space is limited.

- 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Escape Room—The Case of the Stolen Jewels at the Chetco Library River Room. This approachable, heist-themed puzzle is suitable for the whole family. Spots are limited, and registration is required.
- 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Creative Café, a free monthly art event for adults and teens at the library. Drop in to explore a new art medium with supplies from the maker cart and connect with others over coffee, tea, and light refreshments. December’s medium is collage.
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Patty plays music at Pete’s Bar and Grill.
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Santa is scheduled at Nature’s Coastal Holiday in Azalea Park.
- 7:00 PM: Seussical Performance by Chetco Pelican Players at 1240 Chetco Ave. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for students. Doors open 45 minutes before the show.
- 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Bah Humbug, Brookings Christmas Ballet Show by Oregon Coast Dance at the new Sea Spray Center for Arts and Education (Harbor Shopping Center). This is an all-original production based on A Christmas Carol and is the debut show at the new center.

- 3:00 PM: Winter Solstice Drum Circle at Sporthaven Beach (SWODC’s Annual Solstice Drum Circle).
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Winter Solstice Community Soundbath at The Historic McNulty House (710 H St.). Doors open at 3:45 PM and lock at 4:10 PM. The soundbath offers deep relaxation facilitated by acoustic instruments. Donate as inspired; get there early to secure a spot.
- 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Bah Humbug, Brookings Christmas Ballet Show by Oregon Coast Dance at the Sea Spray Center for Arts and Education.
