Since KCIW began broadcasting on January 1, 2017, our broadcast antenna has been located on the tower adjacent to Brookings City Hall under an agreement with the City of Brookings. This agreement expired on October 31, 2021. At the request of the City, we have been working to relocate our antenna and transmitter equipment to a new location. This process is within weeks of being completed. We requested a 90-day extension to the agreement in order to remain on the air until the new site is operational. That request was denied at the October 25 Brookings City Council meeting.
