Bruce Ellis is celebrating the success of last week’s Old Time Radio Show at Seaview Senior Living, and he’s ready to bring listeners the latest information about upcoming activities and events in Brookings-Harbor, Curry County, and beyond.

Bruce begins with his regular weekly update on the local music and entertainment scene, and reads an original poem by Ann Coster. On March 4, music fans can catch a performance by Responsible Punks at Vista Pub in Brookings, while those in Crescent City can attend a music-filled fundraiser to unite Julianne Logofield with a service dog at Enoteca.

March is a great month for concert-lovers. On March 5, award-winning concert pianist Alina Kiryayeva will perform as part of Del Norte’s Music in the Redwoods concert series. Portland’s own Stumptown Swing will perform at the Pistol River Friendship Hall on March 11, and on March 26, the Brookings Harbor Friends of Music will host a woodwind performance by the Acropolis Reed Quartet.

“Sea Birds of the Wild Rivers Coast” at the Chetco Community Public Library

Come learn more about climate change and local wildlife this month at the Chetco Community Public Library! On March 6, join presenter Ann Vileisis for a wildlife program, “Seabirds of the Wild Rivers Coast.” On March 8, former Oregon secretary of state Bill Bradbury will present a program called “Climate Change Coming Home.” Both events are free and will take place in the library’s large meeting room.

Other upcoming events include the premier of Man the Ship by Lighthouse Repertory Theater, Whale Watching Week… and much, much more!

So sit back and – as Bruce puts it – let your ears do the walking.
