Bruce Ellis spent the weekend ushering in a cold and snowy new year, and he’s ready to bring listeners the latest information about upcoming activities and events in Brookings-Harbor, Curry County, and beyond.

Bruce begins with his regular weekly update on the local music and entertainment scene. Bruce reads an original poem by local poet Annie Hite and highlights the work of some nonprofit groups in the area, including the Compassionate Friends and the Del Norte County animal shelter.

Trio 180

On Sunday, January 8, Brookings Harbor Friends of Music hosts a return performance by the classical music ensemble, Trio 180. This talented piano-violin-cello trio will perform works by Franz Joseph Haydn, Antonín Dvořák, and Astor Piazzolla.

For newly engaged couples in need of wedding ideas and planning tips, the Tolowa Events Center is hosting the Coastal Bridal Fair on January 15.

Other upcoming January events include free music events at the Chetco Community Public Library, local crab feed fundraisers, a labyrinth beach walk in Bandon created by Labyrinth artist Denny Dyke … and much, much more!

So sit back and – as Bruce puts it – let your ears do the walking.
