Bruce begins with his regular weekly update on the local music and entertainment scene. This month, music lovers can catch regular performances by both Rapp Brush and Lon Goddard at the Chetco Brewing Company. On February 18, the Pistol River Concert Series will host a performance by Rita Hosking, an award-winning country and folk artist.

The Brookings Harbor Friends of Music are having a busy year! On January 21, the Friends will host their First Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser at the Chetco Activity Center. On February 26, the Friends of Music present a performance by the Philadelphia-based Jasper Quartet.

The Chetco Activity Center is launching new classes and programs! New classes include a beginner’s quilting class starting January 19, as well as a beginner’s ukulele class beginning on February 7. For those looking for a new exercise regimen, the new Walk With Ease group begins Monday, January 30, at Azalea Park.

Other upcoming events include a Valentine’s Craft Fair at the Chetco Grange, a piano concert at the Rogue Playhouse, the Gold Beach Float Hunt… and much, much more!

So sit back and – as Bruce puts it – let your ears do the walking.
