The Insider Report: Upcoming Activities and Events for July 16 – 22, 2019 … and Beyond

In this edition of The Insider Report, hosts Bruce Ellis and Kat Temple share the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. On Friday, July 19, the Southern Oregon Kite Festival will kick off at 7:00 PM with an indoor kite flying demonstration in the Azalea Middle School Gym. This free festival will continue all day on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 at the kite field in the Port of Brookings Harbor.

This week’s special guest is Dave Kuehn of the Oregon South Cost Fishermen with an update on the summer fishing season.

Other upcoming events include a free pre-release screening of the new documentary Samurai in the Oregon Sky at the Chetco Community Public Library on Friday, July 19; a dance night with DJ Stubbs at the Elk Valley Casino in Crescent City on Saturday, July 20; the Curry County Fair in Gold Beach beginning July 24 … and much, much more!

In this edition of The Insider Report, hosts Bruce Ellis and Kat Temple share the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. On Sunday, July 14, the American Music Festival will host a concert by the Rock Bottom Boys at Azalea Park. This three-piece band features boot-stomping music and homespun vocal styling.

Other upcoming events include the launch of the Brookings’ Got Talent Open Mic Night series at the Khun Thai restaurant on Thursday, July 11; a weekly Seed to Supper gardening series at the Living Waters Church in Brookings beginning Saturday, July 13; the Curry County Fair in Gold Beach beginning July 24 … and much, much more!
