Azalea Festival Parade

In this edition of The Insider Report, hosts Bruce Ellis and Kat Temple share the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. The 80th Annual Azalea Festival will take place May 24 through May 27 in Brookings. Events will include art, quilt, and car shows, a shrimp feed and pie sale, and a parade through downtown Brookings on Saturday morning.

Joining Bruce and Kat are Leonard Krug of the Oregon South Coast Fishermen with the area fishing report, and Michael Pitts-Campbell of the Southern Oregon Disc Golf Association talking about a disc golf class on Saturday, May 25, at 11:00 AM in Azalea Park.

Other upcoming events include the Rock the Chetco Barbeque Contest in the Port of Brookings Harbor on Saturday, May 25; the Brookings-Harbor Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale and Flower Show at the Botanical Garden in Brookings on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26; the 26th Annual Slug Races at the Port of Brookings-Harbor on Saturday, May 25 … and much, much more!

So sit back and – as Bruce puts it – let your ears do the walking.
