The Insider Report: Upcoming Activities and Events for September 21 – 23 , 2018 … and Beyond

In this edition of The Insider Report, hosts Bruce Ellis and Mario D’Ottavio shares the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street will continue through the end of September at the Chetco Playhouse in Brookings. This dark tale of revenge features show-stopping songs by renowned composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

It’s also time for the Chetco Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest celebration! This year’s Oktoberfest takes place on September 22 in the Port of Brookings Harbor and will feature craft beer, local food favorites, and live music.

Other upcoming events include a Wild Rivers Veterans Forum at SOCC’s Curry Campus in Brookings on September 21, a showing of the documentary film Won’t You Be My Neighbor? at the Del Norte County Library on September 22, the North Coast Redwoods Writers’ Conference in Crescent City on September 21 and 22 … and much, much more!

In this edition of The Insider Report, hosts Bruce Ellis and Mario D’Ottavio shares the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. On Friday, September 14, the Chetco Pelican Players will present Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This dark musical kicks off the Halloween season and will run for three weekends at the Chetco Playhouse in Brookings.

On Saturday, September 15, the Brookings Oregon Monarch Advocates will host their inaugural Monarch Festival in Azalea Park in Brookings. This family-friendly festival will feature children’s activities, educational presentations, raffles, and refreshments.

Other upcoming events include the Ronnie Dean’s Memorial Toy Run in Crescent City on September 15, the upcoming Brookings Oktoberfest at the Port of Brookings Harbor on September 22 … and much, much more!
