On January 18, DNACA will present a harp concert with musician Verlene Schermer at the United Methodist Church in Crescent City. Schermer is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose eclectic style ranges from Celtic to blues and jazz.

Other upcoming events include the launch of a conversational Spanish workshop at the Bell & Whistle Coffee House on January 18, a workshop on new tax laws at the Curry Public Library in Gold Beach on January 22, the Chetco Pelican Players’ annual PACKY awards gala at the Chetco Playhouse in Brookings on January 26 … and much, much more!

In this edition of The Insider Report, hosts Bruce Ellis and Kat Temple share the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. On January 12, the Pistol River Concert Association will present a performance by the New World String Project. This quartet mixes sounds from a variety of string instruments and promises to “wave a shimmering sonic tapestry from Celtic, Nordic, and American folk traditions.”

Other upcoming events include a Why Do It Yourself community conversation at the Chetco Community Public Library on January 9 and the Curry Public Library on January 10, the DNHS Poetry Out Loud Competition at Del Norte High School in Crescent City on January 11, a DNACA-hosted drum circle for veterans and their families in Crescent City on January 12 … and much, much more!

In this edition of The Insider Report, host Bruce Ellis and guest co-host Kat Temple share the latest news on the Brookings-Harbor entertainment scene. On November 17, the United Indian Health Services will host the 6th annual American Indian Winter Arts and Crafts Fair in Smith River. There will be over twenty booths with one-of-a-kind items by local artists.

Other upcoming events include the Ninth Annual Gold Beach Rotary Club Turkey Trot on November 24, the debut of the “Penny Lane” trolley service at Nature’s Coastal Holiday in Brookings on November 25, a Holiday Artisan Fair on November 18 sponsored by the Crescent City Soroptimists … and much, much more!
