The Bruins Softball team plays against the Marshfield Pirates on this beautiful 7th of May in their final home game of the Bruins girls season. Our table is competently staffed with local adult Softball League player Rob Olmos, high school Senior Jedidiah Doan, Bruins Softball veteran and alumnus Jessica Yock, and Dane Tippman.

We report on the BHHS 2nd Amendment Walkout, the Spaghetti Feed to support the Drama Department, the Cinco de Mayo event put on by the Multicultural Club, we talk about the new Bruin Radio Sports show, upcoming events like the Kindergarten Round-up, the Student Achievement Night, the Azalea Parade… There’s so much going on and you need to tune in make sure you’re in the know!

Bruin Radio is a weekly student-led and student-written news show produced by Brookings-Harbor High School staff, and supported by Curry Coast Community Radio.

Our student journalists interview Lions Club President Bill Hamilton and Past President Joe Donahue about the Brookings-Harbor Lions Club. We learn about the interesting history of the founding of the organization, its activities in our community, state, and nation, and we hear the story of the High School Leo’s Club and its temporary disbanding a few years ago. We look forward to inviting the Lions back again soon!

Bruin Radio Sports: May 4, 2018 – Bruins Baseball v. South Umpqua

This is Bruin Radio Sports, featuring a play-by-play show hosted by students and staff of the Brookings-Harbor High School!

The Bruins Baseball team faced a double-header game against the South Umpqua Lancers on a beautiful May 4th Friday. The Table in Left Field team of Gage Westbrook, Maclane Westbrook, and Jadin Payne returns to cover the first game, and your second game is covered by Athletics Director Buell Gonzales, Girls Basketball Coach and Technology Director Chris Schofield, and student and scorekeeper Ethan Hooper.
